yachtThe forthcoming single from electro duo YACHT is going to pay homage to the 1981 Diane Lane / Laura Dern rock-movie classic Ladies And Gentlemen The Fabulous Stains, with covers of two tracks played by the titular all-girl punk band. The A-side–which is streaming from the duo’s blog–is a bubbly reimagination of the nihilistic “Waste Of Time” as the A-side, while the flip will feature a version of “Professionals” that, the post announcing the release says, turns that track into “the sludgy protest song it was perhaps always meant to be.” After the jump, the original tracks as they were featured in the film.
