Taylor joins forces with Brendon Urie for a feel-good bop called 'ME!'

Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie delivered the second live performance of “ME!” on the season finale of The Voice and absolutely nailed it. Their first attempt at the BBMAs drew criticism for (perhaps) borrowing a couple of ideas from Beyoncé’s iconic Coachella set, but this felt quintessentially Taylor. In that it was feel-good, unselfconscious fun. The 29-year-old began the performance by strutting across the stage with a group of dancers and eventually linked up with Brendon, who was similarly clad in pink.

From there, the duo served modern-day Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta circa Grease. Which is never a bad thing. They certainly went the extra mile as far as staging and choreography was concerned. “ME!” recently debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 behind the all-conquering “Old Town Road.” If the infectious bop had been released at any other time, it would have been a surefire chart-topper on the strength of YouTube views alone (it broke the 24 hour record for a female artist). With more performances like this, it might just get there in the end. Watch up top.
