Taylor Swift's 'Reputation:' Album Review
Will the real Taylor please stand up? The pop star is lost in the mix on her latest LP.

Taylor Swift is in the midst of the latest leg of her Reputation Stadium Tour, but she recently found time to pose for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. The 28-year-old channeled the glamorous aesthetics of the ’60s in the shoot. Rocking a series of black-and-white looks, she posed for Alexi Lubomirski. The two covers highlight her heavily lined eyes, while the remaining photos provide an opportunity for some fun, vampy poses. In the pages of the magazine, the hitmaker showed off another side of herself. Instead of speaking with a journalist about what she has been up to, she flipped the script and interviewed rock icon Pattie Boyd.

A model and photographer, Boyd served as a muse for both George Harrison of The Beatles and Eric Clapton. She is heralded as the inspiration behinds hits including The Beatle’s “Something” and Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight.” In their interview, the “Delicate” siren asked about how Boyd became the source of such inspiration. She also shared some insight about her own experiences writing songs. “There are definitely moments when it’s like this cloud of an idea comes and just lands in front of your face, and you reach up and grab it. A lot of songwriting is things you learn, structure, and cultivating that skill, and knowing how to craft a song,” Taylor admitted.

She added that songwriting remains one of the best parts of her career. “But there are mystical, magical moments, inexplicable moments when an idea that is fully formed just pops into your head. And that’s the purest part of my job. It can get complicated on every other level, but the songwriting is still the same uncomplicated process it was when I was 12 years old writing songs in my room.” The feature also includes insight about how Boyd dealt with life in the public eye in the midst of Beatlemania and how things have changed for her over the years. Taylor drops a little more insight about her own life and career, making for an interesting read.
