Tinashe Sizzles On Blackbear’s New Track “Up In This”
Tinashe returns with a feature on blackbear’s “Up In This,” her first new track since “Flame.” (Yes, I’m pretending that football song never happened). “It’s like I’m Drake now, my shit is way out,” the rising rapper, who is climbing the charts with “do re mi,” spits. “Mama got a lake house, we up in this bitch.” It’s then Tee’s turn to brag about being rich and unbothered. “Got the club feeling like a safe house, all this damn money let it rain down,” she sings on the chorus. “We ain’t going home, we wanna hang out — we up in this bitch.”
This is more like it from the “2 On” hitmaker. “Up In This” is a return to the cocky, crossover-friendly hip-hop that made Aquarius so undeniable. As for blackbear, the 26-year-old nudges ever closer to the mainstream with a song that’s sure to introduce him to a whole new audience. It features on his upcoming Cybersex album (due November 27) alongside his breakout hit, “Bright Pink Tims” and “Playboy Shit.” He will continue to drop a new song every Friday until the album drops.
