Blogsmacked: Skeletor, Non-Naked Flea Spotted At Virgin Festival

skeletor.jpg Bloggers weigh in on the US installment of the Richard Branson-funded Virgin Festival, which took place in Baltimore on Saturday ...
- Skeletor loves Tom Jones, may not be as scary-looking as The Who. [extrawack!]
- Other scary aspects of the day: Brandon Flowers' facial hair, chicken wraps. [music (for robots)]
- The old tactic of flashing people to get free things never fails. Poor Flea—it was too cold for him to get comfy. [Thong Speed]
- A question for, and about, the ages: "how many times are you going to see barely legals twirling around next to the seventy-year-old man who probably came to the festival just to see The Who[?]" [coneydog]
- There are still people out there who get excited about meeting well-preserved MTV News correspondent John Norris. [I don't know why]

  • I haven't gotten around to my own blog post, but it was a good time. Scissor Sisters were definitely great, and the Killers are definitely ridiculous. I was mostly saddest that the dj tent wasn't better attended. I blew off most of the Lips (who I've seen about 5 times) to watch Carl Cox - he's one of the world's best djs and there were only about 150 people in the tent ( but all having a great time.)2 Many djs were simply brilliant. But I've had this argement with friends all weekend - they say live music is superior to djs but I say when a dj is as good as Carl Cox, No.

Anyway, my Baltimore represented well - I hope it comes back.
