Rihanna Goes Platinum
Rihanna's 'ANTI' sells a million copies, though with help from a Samsung deal.

Meghan Trainor isn’t playing around! Just weeks after her major label debut Title went platinum, the nostalgic, girl group-inspired singer has already moved on to teasing the first single off its follow-up Thank You. “Finally got my first single for my new album and I’m having trouble sleeping,” Meghan said on Twitter today (January 31).

She hash-tagged the post #NO, which, “coincidentally” — or, you know, not — is the same word that Ricky Reed tweeted at her last week. Ricky would be the frontman from pop/hip-hop duo Wallpaper., who went on to produce Jason Derulo‘s “Talk Dirty” and Fifth Harmony‘s “BO$$.”

Previously, Meghan told MTV that she hoped to premiere Thank You either this February or March, which means that this single she is teasing will likely arrive soon.

What can fans expect of this new music? “I wanted to get all my influences in there and show everything from my Caribbean side to my love for Bruno Mars and Aretha Franklin and even some Elvis vibes, anyone I grew up listening to,” Meghan said to MTV. “I was trying to show the world what I love. I wanted to do something that’s not on the radio, but kind of different.”
