Hi there - as a UK reader I feel I should point out a major distinction here. Burberry - as in the proper clothes - is seen very differently to Burberry - the check pattern. It's the Burberry pattern, which is used sparingly (ie in the lining) or not at all on the 'proper' clothes that is, or was linked to chav culture. Burberry the brand remains upmarket and has largly shrugged off the 'chav' association. Anyway, chavs are SO 2003......

And Bryan still looks great for a man his age, I'd still want to be him.

Nah nah nah, you're thinking of Burberry London, the chav. K-fash side of the brand, the threads that famiglia Federline have piled up in their mock Louis XV closets.
Ferry (alongside his foxhunting - hurrah! - son, Stella Tennant and Kate Moss) is advertising Burberry Prorsum, sister label to Burberry London and VERY high-end, indeed. Don't knock the Ferryman (even though his name is Bryan).
