This is ridiculous. That said, I listened to every second of these tracks and wasn't angry when I was done. In fact most of his Interviews ramblings was interesting compared to stuff he's said in actual interviews. And since when do we hold white rockers to certain standards? People are still waiting for Axl Rose to release Chinese Democracy like it's going to be the second coming of Christ.

In Kanye's defense, it's just a mix tape, so he doesn't have to try that hard. It's about immediacy, not making a timeless work of art. (He spends most of the mix's first track talking about how it's May 25th, 2007. Seriously).

Anyway, I think the whole thing's pretty sweet, all in all. And yeah, even the preposterous "Interview" track, which is even more like listening to a drunken answering machine message than his usual monologues. But in a good way.

The "Young Folks" track almost sounds like a someone's making fun of rap's rampant sampling, randomly taking something catchy from the radio and slapping some thumps and rhymes on top. Has Kanye West really fallen into self-parody?

"interviews" is one of the most dumb-assed, unintelligent monologues i've ever heard. kanye west is a stupid, stupid man, and he always has been. i hope people stop jizzing all over him once the new album drops.

seriously, it's borderline racist, the way that we hold black rappers to lower standards of intelligence than white rock artists.
