The WhiTunes Store Kicks The Jams Out of the MC5

For reasons we can’t divulge, we were listening to some streaming-track samples on the WhiTunes store this morning, and a very, very strange thing happened when we clicked on the MC5’s “Skunk (Sonically Speaking).” Go here to see what we’re talking about, and keep in mind that “Skunk” (below) is one of the most abrasive songs the Detroit boys ever recorded, which makes this all the more bizarre.

It also got us wondering: Are there any other songs on the store that have been mislabeled? And might they be as hilariously ill-fitting as this particular screw-up?
