Morrissey Proteges Come Out Swinging Against Dad Rockers
Kristeen Young–a piano-drums combo that’s opening for Morrissey on his European tour–released their kill-rock-stars siren call “Kill the Father” on Mozzer’s Attack label in August. The song is a glorious, noisy riot, with lead singer/pianist/band namesake Kristeen banging the ivories while calling for the elimination of nearly every sacred cow the Rolling Stone set reveres. And we weren’t kidding about “every”–even David Bowie isn’t safe, although he should know how to fight back.
