The Antiques: Not Quite As Old-Timey As Their Band Name Implies
The blogosphere has yet to start yammering about L.A.’s the Antiques, so maybe we can help get the ball rolling with a few MP3s from their Nicknames and Natives album, due out Nov. 14th. Nothing too fancy about their plugged-in alt-country sound, but the tunes are great: “Gun Shy” is a great freewheeling anthem, and “Down To No. County” sounds like a bunch of guys tripping on Dimetapp on the roof. Or maybe not. Lord, how we hate writing bad descriptions for good songs:
