Ah, the Latin Grammy Awards. So many memorable moments. Where to begin?

– “Even New York City’s mayor, Michael R. Bloomberg, spoke Spanish when he arrived onstage behind a chorus line of women in red, though he seemed unaware that ‘Hasta la vista’ is a goodbye, not a greeting.” [NY Times] – “Holding up his stiletto-tipped trophy, the singer of “Livin’ La Vida Loca” issued a warning to any who engage in human trafficking: ‘We are at war with you.’ [LA Times] – “‘I’m honestly wetting myself,’ [Calle 13] lead singer Residente, whose real name is René Pérez, said excitedly on stage.” [E!] – “But there was plenty of spice in the show. At one point, a female dancer licked the face of Mexican superstar Thalia during a performance of Thalia’s ‘Seduccion.'” [Reuters]
