Videodrone: The Internet Has Officially Gone Coconuts

For the last week or so, Johnny Cash’s posthumous “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” video–which features a bunch of celebrities posing in black and white–has been one of most-watched music clips on YouTube. So naturally, someone decided to make a response video, one featuring a montage of musicians, actors, and world leaders who also–ahem–deserve to be cut down. Or at least, that’s what we think these nuts are trying to say; how else to explain the “ironic” juxtaposition of Tupac with Hitler?

Anyway, the whole thing is either a poorly executed joke, or yet another reminder of the Internet’s ability to facilitate rambling loons who would otherwise have no recourse but to scream obscenities at the mailbox. Either way, this version of “God” is also climbing the charts, which means that the rest of the world is either curious or crazy.
