Mexican rap/rock fusion act Molotov may or may not have broken up: Wikipedia says yes, the band’s Web site says maybe. Either way, they haven’t put out a new album since 2004, but for a brief moment, Molotov was on top of the rock en español world, baiting Latin rock stars Mana with the title of their first album and appearing on the Y Tu Mamá También soundtrack. Employing a charmingly childish mix of girls, girls, and dislike of authority, Molotov managed to have their albums banned in Mexico for a minute. Their most recent record, Con Todo Respecto covers tracks from the Misfits, Falco, and Los Amantes de Lola, and broken up or not, Molotov has taught us many new bits of Spanish profanity to mix into our casual speech.
