Stuck On Repeat: We’re In The Mood To Horse Around A Little Bit
Last month, Moistworks posted a few takes on the R & B classic “Tighten Up” by Archie Bell & The Drells; one version we hadn’t heard was the crisp “Horsin’ Up,” which was recorded by Orchestra Harlow in the late ’60s and collected on the Soul Jazz comp Nu Yorica Roots! recently. It’s got sun-bright horns and the frantic “Tighten Up” beat, and listening to it over and over has caused one of your Idolators to get very distracted from finishing up this post at least three times in the last hour:
