Pete Wentz’s Definition Of A “Dive” Needs A Bit Of Work

Last night was the opening party for the limited-edition New York emo-dude-owned bar Angels and Kings, and Page Six was there, inquiring as to why Pete Wentz and his pals would need to open up their own hideaway:

Wentz told Page Six he was tired of clubs with strict door policies and pretentious, uptight atmosphere and wanted to launch a place for his pals to kick back. “It’s different when you want to bring your friends to a place . . . and maybe we’re just not cool enough to get in. We really just want someplace where we can hang out and be ourselves.” Will the Fall Out Boy be there? “Yeah, I’m just gonna be local and drink umbrella drinks,” he said. “It will be a bit of a dive, which we need.”

But not enough of a dive that there won’t be a velvet-rope/red-carpet area outside, right? Aw, don’t worry, Pete. We understand: Vomit from non-famous patrons is just icky.
