Well, now that AllofMP3 and its descendants have fallen in the crosshairs of law enforcement, people looking to make a quick buck in Russia have to enter other music-related ventures–and lucky for them, they’ve got a whole country’s worth of eager Pete Wentz crushers to capitalize on. So Fall Out Boy is making its first appearance in Russia next week, and several Russian Web sites have popped up claiming to be Russian branches of FOB’s fan club, offering access to “exclusive autograph sessions” and a show where the so-called “Russian Fall Out Boy” will open for the real thing. Fall Out Boy has issued a disclaimer about these rogue operations on its their Web site; we just hope was translated to Russian somewhere since, you know, we’re thinking that the whole scam sort of rests on the language barrier and all that.
