R. Kelly Pretty Optimistic About His Upcoming Trial
Keyshia Cole told MTV News that she’d be opening up for R. Kelly on his forthcoming tour–which is apparently starting up in October, a date that’s interesting given that the opening date for his trial on child-pornography charges is Sept. 17. The trial is expected to last four weeks, and jury deliberations could stretch it even longer; Kelly has had to ask for permission to tour outside of Illinois at all over the last five years, while he’s been waiting to appear before a judge, although if he’s acquitted he’ll be free to bring his crazy around the country without getting a note from the state first. What twist could he possibly have planned for his witness-stand appearance?
