Master P’s New Video: Ballin With The Klan
Last we saw Percy Miller, he was decrying the state of post-Imus pop culture before Congress. Now he’s… well, we’re not sure what he’s doing. Except shooting hoops with the KKK.
In “Gutta Time,” P opens with a profanity-laced disclaimer that this new clip isn’t for kids, before kicking off a heavy-handed and symbollic court battle between the “Coloreds” and the “Wizards,” a commentary on…the state of race and class relations in America? Within hip-hop? Both? We’re not even going to attempt to unpack P’s metaphors here, except to say that the last 30 seconds or so take “Gutta Time” just that little bit more over-the-top. We were so not ready for this at 7:48 a.m. Maybe that was the point?
