Oasis Get A Little Bit Fuzzed Out, A Little Bit Teary-Eyed

ONE-LISTEN VERDICT: There are many things about the first single from Oasis’ forthcoming Dig Out Your Soul that sound a bit familiar; the Tears For Fears-ish chorus, the beats that really do sound like they were quite serious about the whole “hypnotic grooves” thing, the overall rainy-day-in-the-’90s feel. Yet most of them (save the big dramatic crescendo at the end) don’t sound familiarly Oasis, which should prove to elicit quite the interesting reaction from the fanbase–apparently there are YouTube comments accusing Oasis of stealing inspiration for the song from freaking Kasabian. I quite like it, though. Hooray for pleasant surprises!
