“But perhaps the Maryland backup quarterback Chris Turner, who led the unranked Terrapins to a victory at No. 10 Rutgers on Saturday, is the best player to symbolize this most improbable of college football weekends. Turner’s father, John Turner, was the original drummer in the hair metal band Ratt. It is only fitting that Ratt’s defining hit, ‘Round and Round,’ would be the best way to describe how the axis of the college football world was spun this weekend.” Too bad that column-space restrictions resulted in the “Way Cool Jr.” reference getting cut.
