Speaking of remixes and whatnot: I don’t talk nearly enough (or perhaps just enough for some of you) on Idolator about my love for jungle, but this tearing, ’95-era drum’n’bass rework of Shinehead’s classic ’80s dancehall cover of “Billie Jean” by new-school junglist DJ C–how’s that for multiple levels of remixing shennanigans across three decades?–is slotting nicely into my personal “flashback lunch hour,” even if this particular mix excises the vocal. And as a bonus, you get “Bouncement,” an hour-long DJ mix featuring remixes and bangers by Ms. Dynamite, M.I.A., and a gaggle of dancehall deejays. [Nialler9]
