The All-American Rejects And Britney Spears Are So Happy Together
The latest entrant into the “covering Britney Spears” derby: The All-American Rejects, who bring a tiny toy accordion, Tyson Ritter’s fantastic bone structure, and a bit of the Turtles’ “Happy Together” to “Womanizer.” The whole thing has a “Fountains Of Wayne Do ‘…Baby One More Time'” feel to it, largely due to the squeezebox, and it’s actually… pretty good, maybe somewhere right in between Lily Allen and Ladyhawke on the “‘Womanizer’ covers” scale.
