Speaking on Radio One earlier today, U2 frontman told Jo Whiley that tickets for his band’s upcoming tour would be reasonably priced, but that people who wanted to spend lots of money on a night out would be welcome too: “We’re trying to work on some cheaper ticket prices because this is the recession,” he said. “We’re also going to have some very expensive ticket prices because rich people have feelings too!” That must be why all those tax-shelter allegations hurt so badly.
