The Michael Jackson Concerts: They’re Really Happening (Or At Least Scheduled To Happen)

The announcement of Michael Jackson‘s run of comeback concerts in London—which, sometimes-reliable Fox News gossip Roger Friedman claims, kicks off July 9—was pre-empted this morning in the London Underground, thanks to the poster at right, which shows a “Smooth Criminal”-era Jackson and directs visitors to a Web site, being posted at certain stations. “This Is It,” claims the poster, which to be honest seems kinda ominous, no?

Jackson is a busy guy lately, what with his estate suing to stop the imminent auction of his personal items, which are going on the block in April. Jackson claims that he hasn’t received a full accounting of the items that will be for sale. (They wouldn’t be so cheap as to make him pay for one of those boxed-set catalogs, would they?)
