It’s understandable that the big stories from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this year would be Metallica and Run DMC, considering those acts’ backstories and enduring popularity. But what’s the point of having a pseudo-event in the first place if most of its attendant coverage focuses, for the most part, on 33% of the honorees (with Jeff Beck sneaking his way in articles on occasion)?
