Sassy R & B act TLC is slated to make their first U.S. appearance since 2002 at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center in October, when they’ll play a Justin Timberlake-helmed benefit concert for the Shriners Hospitals For Children. (Also on the bill: Alicia Keys, Ciara, and Taylor Swift.) Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, the “L” in the trio’s name, passed away in 2002; the two surviving members of the group, Tionne Tenese “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, will apparently perform as a duo. And yes, you’re not crazy if you remember a 2005 reality show in which the two surviving members of the group hunted for a “Left Eye” replacement; R U The Girl, which aired on UPN, only offered the prize of guesting on one single credited to the group. Luckily Chilli scored a much better deal for her new reality show, which airs on VH1 next year and which will chronicle her quest for love.
