Chris Brown Is Tweetin’ Mad

The reason for the low first week sales of Chris Brown’s Graffiti? According to the singer himself (via Twitter), “Major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the f*ck do i gotta do…”

Brown has apparently latched on to the idea that retailers are refusing to stock the pop star’s third studio album, and to prove his point, he hit up a Walmart in Wallingford, CT on Saturday. Below are his tweets that followed after his surprise visit:

“We talked to the managers and the didnt even know anything. wow!!! but they had alicia keys album ready for release for this tuesday comin… the manager told me that when there are new releases its mandatory to put em on the shelves.. BUT NO SIGN OF GRAFFITI. BS… no disprespect to alicia at all.. just givin an example to whos album is loaded and ready to go next week.”

To be fair,  there’s probably a slight difference in how Alicia Keys treats her girlfr—er, boyfriends. Chris needs to just own up to the fact that he’s coming out of crisis mode, and is likely going to have to eat crow for a long, long time.

And heaven forbid Graffiti‘s lackluster sales have anything to do with the fact that the album’s first two singles, “I Can Transform Ya” and “Crawl,” are a complete snooze.

Maybe Chris just needs to regroup, calm down and quietly carry on with his tour. Then again, what are the odds of that happening?
