Sia Gets Interactive In ‘You’ve Changed’ Video

After a nearly two-year absence, the Aussie spitfire Sia resurfaces with a charming DIY-style video for her new single “You’ve Changed.” The clip, which plays around with notions of identity (as reflected by The Sims and school yearbook photos), looks like it cost the same as a single hour of catering on the “Bad Romance” video shoot. But even with cardboard cutouts and zero special effects, Sia still managed to make a cute clip to showcase her soulful, disco-tinged return. (If anyone knows how to make weird, memorable music videoes with barely a budget, it’s her.) Check it out after the jump:

Sia’s fourth studio album We Are Born is due out in April 2010, but she’s found time to record with others too: she and her new bestie Christina Aguilera have apparently contributed to each other’s forthcoming albums.  (X-Tina’s LP, tentatively titled Light & Darkness and expected to feature M.I.A., Santogold, Goldfrapp and Ladytron.)

Sia has other powerful fans too: Twilight heroine Kristen Stewart told MTV recently that she listened to Sia to get into a “doomed, romantic, soulful” state of mind while filming the most recent chapter of the series. (Bet you thought she only listened to Joan Jett.) Not to argue with K-Stew—we’re fans of Sia’s more restrained work too—but if “You’ve Changed” is an indication of a fresh direction for Sia, we’re ready to follow.
