What’s the best way to ensure an artist will belt out their tunes live at an awards gig? Be sure they have the most nominations. The first wave of performers was announced this morning for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards, and, not surprisingly, the list is comprised of the artists with the most nods.

Beyonce, who’s the leader of the Grammy pack with ten nominations this year, will hit the stage during the live CBS telecast on January 31, 2010. Time magazine fave Taylor Swift comes in just behind B with eight nominations, including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Album Of The Year. She’ll also be performing.

Others set to amp up the live music portion of the evening include the Black Eyed Peas and Maxwell, who each have six Grammy nominations, and Nashville act Lady Antebellum, who are up Best Country Song and Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group for “I Run To You.”

Who wants to flip a coin and bet that Adam Lambert (not nominated) won’t be gracing the stage? (Though that would be one way to ensure more viewers, at least.)
