Today In ‘Idol’: Ellen DeGeneres Wins Rave Reviews, Ratings

:: It’s official — the Idol producers’ outside-the-box idea to fill the faded-pop-star slot at the judge’s table with a comedian at the top of her game worked like a charm. Ellen’s first appearance on the show sparked a 12% ratings bump from last week, and DeGeneres received positive reviews from pretty much everyone. [Billboard, EW, MTV, Us Weekly]
