Following her recent collabs with I Blame Coco and Staygold, we considered ourselves properly teased for some spanking new Robyn material. Fueling that fire was the video clip (posted below) that surfaced in the fall featuring the Swede singer cutting a new track in the studio with U.S. DJ/producer Diplo.

Now “Dancehall Queen,” the reggae jam the pair were working on, has popped up. Head below the jump to hear it in full, and to watch Robyn and Diplo making pop magic.

This vid was posted on YouTube in November:

And here’s Robyn “running this thing like a dancehall queen”:

It’s a bit more subtle than most of the tunes off Robyn’s last set, and it’s hard to imagine this song being worked as a single. Still, subtlety is a rarity these days, and “Dancehall Queen” definitely has an infectious hook going for it.

Robyn is also said to be working on her upcoming LP with Klas Ahlund, who wrote and produced “Handle Me” and “Be Mine!” for her last album.

Last week Robyn tweeted the following: “Me & Klas be arranging n mixing on laptop connected 2 car stereo. dont worry bout the future we already in it!”
