Woodrow Skillson of Brooklyn-based remix crew Headbanga Muzik Group has crafted Melanie Fiona’s second single “It Kills Me” into a proper floorfiller. And we think Fiona, who’s currently supporting Alicia Keys on her Element Of Freedom tour (have you entered our contest to win tickets yet?), ought to bust out this mix of of her jam to get the crowd on their feet! Slip on your dancing shoes and head below for the swizzed up version of “It Kills Me.”

That’s right, girl—nothing like working out the heartache on the dancefloor. “It Kills Me” was also remixed by Da Internz, E. London and Mike D, and there’s even a slow groove version featuring Ghostface Killah. But since it’s Friday and we’re in full-on party mode, we put our money on the Headbanga mix.

“It Kills Me” recently garnered Fiona a Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Alas, she lost out on the golden prize to the juggernaut that is Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).”

You can show Melanie some love, though, by checking out the full remix EP for “It Kills Me,” which was added to iTunes this week.
