Kelly Rowland Gets Australians To Think They Can Dance

While Beyonce is currently wowing the masses—who probably never thought they’d again see a big-budget, nine-minute music video again—with “Telephone,” her former Destiny’s Child partner in divadom Kelly Rowland has been trekking around Down Under. Last night she performed “When Love Takes Over” on Australia’s So You Think You Can Dance and got the whole audience on its feet to cut a rug.

With her retro ’70s-looking sparkly dress and curly hair, the leggy and lovely Kelly seemed to be (appropriately) channeling Donna Summer for a little old-school disco vibe.

Following here performance, Rowland spoke about her new album in a short interview. “David [Guetta] is a part of it, and we have teamed up and gotten some amazing songs from other producers as well,” she said. “From Rico Love to Danja to Ne-Yo, Stargate—such great, great material.”

And while we admit it’d be nice to hear some new material from her upcoming album instead of the year-old “When Love Takes Over” yet again, seeing the whole SYTYCD crowd bouncing around still made for a rousing rendition of the Grammy-nominated club hit.
