But it won’t cost you a penny to check in on the newest track from emerge from Erykah Badu’s upcoming New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) — and it is worth an investment of your time. If the uber-mellow “Strawberry Incense” sent you to into a dreamy daze, this bright and funky jam should certainly wake you up. Listen to Badu’s “Turn Me Away (Get MuNNY)” below.

Now this is more like it. Erykah sounds like she’s having a ton of fun with this one as she pokes at the often confusing connections between love and cash. The playful “Turn Me Away” borrows from two songs—Sylvia Striplin’s “You Can’t Turn Me Away” and Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s 90s rap hit “Get Money” (which sampled Striplin’s track as well). All we need is one more artist to cover Erykah’s version of the groovy, soulful number to create the most meta cover song of all time.
