Selena Gomez Talks Lilith Fair, Katy Perry Talks Wedding At Kids’ Choice Awards

Some folks might not agree that she’s a right fit for the bill, but Selena Gomez is excited to be a part of Lilith Fair this year nonetheless. Buzznet’s Audrey Kitching talked to Selena and Katy Perry on Saturday on the orange carpet at the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, where the Wizards Of Waverly Place teen star admitted what female singer she’d most like to work with, while Perry discussed her fiance’s penchant for bride magazines.

“I work really hard on my music, and I really just want to make music that just makes people jump around and feel good,” 17-year-old Gomez said while discussing Lilith Fair. “The fact that it’s such an honor to be a part of all those musicians coming together, it’s pretty wonderful.”

When asked which female musician she’d most like to collaborate with, Selena mentioned British soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae. “I just think she’s absolutely stunning, and I think her voice is so pure,” she said.

Gomez also said that she connects with Katy Perry’s music—which we’d already kind of gathered from her recent live cover of “Hot N Cold.”

Meanwhile, Perry, who is engaged to Russell Brand and currently planning their wedding, said that her fiance is “a total bridezilla.”

“He likes to buy those bride magazines,” she admitted. “He, like, dog-ears pages that he wants to reference for the wedding.”
