Goldfrapp Reveal “Alive” Single Cover, Perform On ‘Jonathan Ross’

This morning the cover art for “Alive,” the second single to be released off Goldfrapp’s Head First, was revealed by the duo via Twitter. (See it in full after the jump.) Yesterday the band saw their fifth album enter the UK chart at #6. Billboard noted last week that Head First was also off to “a notable start” in the States, as well. The full Top 200 Albums chart will be published on Thursday.

“I think we just wanted something really simple and that had a sort of euphoric-ness to it,” Alison Goldfrapp told Idolator when discussing the artwork surrounding the pair’s fifth LP. “A kind of slightly surreal but dreamy quality—pink clouds and [the feeling that] you can carry on forever. A sort of slight fantasy feeling.”
