Tim Urban Can’t Help Falling In Love On ‘Letterman’
David Letterman used recently-ousted American Idol contestant Tim Urban’s appearance on the Late Show to get a series of jabs in at Fox’s hit reality singing competition. Among the questions Dave asked Tim: “What are Ryan Seacrest’s credentials, exactly? Why is he on the show?” Then he even took a shot at Urban, who explained he decided to pursue singing after a European vacation where people told him he should go back home and become a professional. “In Europe the standards are different,” the host said in his typical deadpan manner. Geez—didn’t this poor guy get enough (deserved) abuse on Idol as it is?
