Eight-Year-Old John Teas Rocks Out “Don’t Stop Believin'” On ‘Ellen’
What is it that’s in the water fountains of the world’s elementary schools that’s causing eight-year-olds to get so musical this year? The latest aspiring crooner to join the kiddie chorus is Denver’s John Teas, whose impassioned performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” at a school talent show caught the eye (and ear) of Ellen DeGeneres, who then invited him on her show to sing today. “And where did you first hear that Journey song that you sang,” Ellen asked the second grader. His reply: “I heard it on Oprah.” Ba-da-boom-TSCH! Catch John belting out the rock anthem after the jump.
Below is the original clip of John covering Journey at the Stanley British Primary School Arts Festival in Denver, which was posted to YouTube earlier this month.
