‘Glee’ Manages To Fit In Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” In A Very Home-ly Episode

To say last night’s episode of Glee, “Home,” was appropriately titled would be a massive understatement—the episode, concerning the home lives of Kurt, Finn, Mr.Schuester and high-pitched spitfire guest star Kristin Chenoweth, featured what felt like every song ever written with “Home” in either the title or the lyrics (and the show even managed to feature Carrie Underwood’s Motley Crue cover “Home Sweet Home” in the background of a scene).

But the best song of the night didn’t have a home—Mercedes belted out Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” while donning her brand new Cheerios outfit. (We’re just happy she wasn’t inspired by Xtina’s current S&M-tastic look.) Watch Amber Riley take on the big song about beauty below.

After watching her deliver this powerful song (as well as her emotional performance throughout the entire episode), it’s obvious that Amber definitely deserves more screen time on the show, as does most of the supporting cast—Artie, Tina and the other Asian member of New Directions (who is so undervalued we seriously cannot remember his character’s name without looking it up) are people with storylines to share, too, Glee writers! (At least we hope so.) Lea Michele took a much needed break from bogarting every musical scene, although we were treated to her dressed as a cupcake holding hands with a hamburger, so we’re not complaining:
