Justin Bieber Returns To #1 During Slow Sales Week

Fans of BET Awards nominee Justin Bieber can celebrate once more as My World 2.0 rises to #1 on Billboard‘s Top 200 Albums chart for a fourth non-consecutive week. (Chalk it up to his appearance last Tuesday on Oprah.) But don’t pop the Snapple caps too loudly, kiddies—the Bieb posted the second-lowest sales week (just over 60,000 copies) in Nielsen SoundScan history, notes the trade publication.

Bieber’s low achievement comes just behind the week in January 2007 when the Dreamgirls soundtrack also moved slightly more than 60,000 copies to land at the top spot.

Supergroup The Dead Weather, who debut at #5 with Sea Of Cowards, get bested this week on the chart by Ohio rockers The National, whose fifth studio album High Violet goes in at #3 after selling 51,000 copies. (The Dead Weather’s Sea Of Cowards moved 45,000.)

Charice, who also had the luxury of appearing on Oprah recently, sees her self-titled debut U.S. release hit the chart at #8. And metal dudes As I Lay Dying (we’d venture to guess they might not get an invite to appear on the talk show queen’s program anytime soon) round out the Top 10 with their latest, The Powerless Rise.
