T.I. Discusses Lady Gaga Collab “Lick It,” Serves Up New Single “Got Your Back”

“I’m Back” rapper T.I. is feeling sweet on his new radio single “Got Your Back,” which features Keri Hilson (who, for the record, does not have a beef with Ciara) on the chorus. “Just want you to know we appreciate everything you do for us on a day-to-day,” T.I. declares to all the women who support their men on the track. He also sat down with MTV News and sang “phenomenal talent” Lady Gaga’s praises when discussing their collaboration for his upcoming King Uncaged album.

The single was produced by DJ Toomp, who previously worked on several T.I. albums, including I’m Serious, Trap Musik, Urban Legend and Paper Trail.

Below is the interview MTV did with the rapper (whose real name is Clifford Harris). In it he states, “I think she’s a classic all-around entertainer—a global star. ” When pressed to give the name of the this Gaga/T.I. meeting of the minds, he began laughing and finally offered up the title: “Lick It.”

King Uncaged is due out August 17.
