:: Crystal or Lee? Find out tonight along with us—we’ll be liveblogging the finale (Eastern Standard Time, so be wary of spoilers, West Coasters). We can all share a virtual group hug as we say goodbye to Simon.

:: We pick Crystal and Lee’s career paths after tonight’s finale. (It doesn’t include filming a movie called From Crystal to Lee, although now that we write that, it kind of has a ring to it, no?) [Idolator]

:: And the worst American Idol finalist of all time is, drumroll not necessary, Sanjaya. Bigger surprise, Season 9 “Sanjaya” Tim Urban didn’t make the cut. [AOL]

:: Simon’s favorite Idol performance of all time? Fantasia’s “Summertime.” (We concur!) His least favorite? Clay Aiken performing “Grease Is The Word” back in Season 2. [E! Online]

:: Simon Cowell sits down with Ryan Seacrest and explains why he’s happy to leave Idol. One (or rather, two) big reasons: Ryan Seacrest and Miley Cyrus. Watch video below.

Simon says the last straw was sharing a 6-hour plane ride with Ryan Seacrest, and having to listen to Ryan listening to Idol mentor Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” six times in a row. “It was the fact that you were enjoying it!” Simon declares. “And I thought, I can’t do this for much longer. That was the turning point.”

We’ll miss Ryan and Simon’s banter—let’s hope he has some chemistry with whoever fills Simon’s seat. (Has Joel McHale been a candidate for the job? Because we definitely love their love/hate relationship on The Soup.)
