Acoustic guitar allies Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox hit up NBC’s Today Show this morning, entertaining some early morning music fans at Rockefeller Plaza. Lee performed his superior version of “Beautiful Day” (aka, not the one you can actually buy) and Crystal revved things up with “Me and Bobby McGee.” Catch their performances (and a bonus vid of Mama Sox) below.

We know you can’t get enough of the dred-headed rocker just yet, so here’s a bonus vid of Crystal decked head to toe in black (p)leather, performing “Come to My Window” on Live with Regis & Kelly yesterday morning. (She bursts out her guitar and harmonica at 5:00.)

Before her performance, Crystal discusses breaking up with her boyfriend Tony on the day of her final judged performance. “I wouldn’t have gone through this process with anyone else. He’s one of my best friends… the timing wasn’t great. But that’s okay. I’m not mad at him, I love him.”

As to how she got through her break-up on one of the most important days in her life, Crystal says that she, “used the sadness of that situation to help me through the performance.”

Stay strong, Mama Sox! We know you don’t need to be depressed to give powerhouse performances.
