Joe Jonas Tries To “Make It Right” On A Solo Track

Joe Jonas is preparing for his own solo album, and today we get a little preview of what Joe’s solo stuff might sound like—a meloncholy ballad called “Make It Right” from the Jonas L.A. soundtrack features only Joe’s vocals on the track, and you can hear it below. Will the middle Jonas have the same success out on his own as his little bro Nick? You be the judge.

“Maybe I Could have loved you / Maybe I could have shown / That I still do care about you / More than you could know / Don’t say it’s to late to try / To make it right,” laments Joe on the sorrowful track. Joe does a pretty decent job, although the song itself is a bit boring. We’ll be keeping an ear out when his solo album drops—hopefully it has a bit more personality than this ballad does.

Although the song is all about lost love, but don’t go thinking that this song was inspired by his recent break-up with Demi Lovato—it was written and recorded before they called it quits.

But that didn’t stop Demi from changing her lyrics to fit her post-break-up bitterness—she reportedly made a dig at her ex during a solo gig in Rio de Janiero, changing the lyrics to her song “Solo” from “why don’t you stick to acting” to “why don’t you stick to the tambourine.” (For those of you not in the know, Joe is often the JoBro’s go-to tambourine player.)

Ooh, burn! Can we get Demi and Taylor Swift together to record a duet called “The Boy Is Not Mine (Go Ahead And Have Him)”?
