When one-time drumming prodigy Justin Bieber and his mentor Usher — two of the biggest pop stars in the world — get together for a music video, you know somebody‘s going to be showing off their dance skills. But how much backup do these two really need? The Bieb and Usher enlisted teams from at least two different seasons of Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew to appear in this clip. Watch below.

We recognized the Poreotics, who won Season 5 of Jackson’s dance show, and the Beat Freaks crew, who were the runners-up on Season 3. We’re sad to report that both teams now have cooler sneakers than Bieber, who may or may not be losing his shoe mojo after his run-in with Jaden Smith.

Video mastermind Dave Meyers, who directed the clip, says the mission here was, in effect, to introduce Bieber to clubland. It’s about “bringing Justin into the world of dance on this one, giving Justin the chance to integrate to different styles of dance,” Meyers says. “So we kind of kept it simple with the art direction, just real graphic and really highlighting the dance. No big story lines, no crowds of people, just real clean.”

If there’s one thing we’d like to see Bieber do, it’s stay clean. Justin, please, be careful.

But the video does take Justin out of his standard video locales (ahem, bowling alleys), and places him in the more fantastical backdrops of the dance world. Whether that will be enough to give Bieber credibility in the club scene remains an open question.
