Kylie Minogue Wades Into Xenomania’s “Mighty Rivers” On ‘Aphrodite’ Bonus Track

Foxy Aussie Kylie Minogue gets caught in the current of “Mighty Rivers,” the bonus track on the “Deluxe Experience” edition of her album Aphrodite (out next Tuesday, July 6). Written by the pop craftsmen of Xenomania (of course), the song kicks off with crashing waves and slinky synths that sound like they’re being played underwater. Naturally, the tune whips itself into a downright poppy disco number. Give it a listen after the jump.

“Mighty Rivers” is a fun jam that holds its own, so it’s surprising to see it didn’t make the cut for the album proper. (It’s only included on the iTunes version of the deluxe edition.) Xenomania have had a few missed recently, as acts they’ve been grooming in-house like Mini Viva and Alex Gardner have failed to rack up any hit singles this year in the UK.

Kylie, on the other hand, appears to be on a roll.
