Jersey Shore enthusiast (but only at the holidays) Sara Bareilles clearly subscribes to the notion that a picture is worth a thousand words in her music video for bouncy piano-driven tell-off song “King Of Anything.” The 29-year-old California singer-songwriter appears framed in various photographs throughout the clip while riding on a bus, hanging out in a musical instrument store and dancing around while wearing a ballerina dress in a garden. Marvel below, folks!

“King Of Anything” is produced by Neal Avron. Bareilles has said of the song, “I’ve had more unsolicited advice on my life than I care to mention, and this was how I dealt with it. It felt empowering to turn that frustration into music, especially a song that doesn’t even sound angry.”

And with both Michael Buble and Sarah McLachlan releasing singles recently that resemble Sara Bareilles’ 2008 megahit “Love Song,” it’s nice to hear the real deal back with new material.

“King Of Anything” is the lead single off Sara’s upcoming Kaleidoscope Heart, which is due out in September.
