With the unveiling of Robyn’s “Hang With Me” single artwork yesterday, her official site promised that the new version of the song “has been suitably souped up and looks destined to follow its predecessor straight onto the dancefloors and radio playlists across the country!” And guess what—they weren’t pulling our legs. Give the acoustic-tune-turned-angsty-floorfiller a listen below.

Lyrically, it’s an update of the Spice Girls/”Say You’ll Be There” let’s-just-be-friends-for-now theme. And musically, Robyn basically follows up one pop master stroke (“Dancing On My Own”) with another. Her eventual greatest hits collection is going to sound pretty damn flawless.

“Hang With Me” is the official single off Robyn’s upcoming Body Talk Pt. 2 (out September 6). Pt. 1, which was released in June, contains the acoustic version of the song.
