Usher Wants You To “Get In My Car” In New ‘Versus’ Track

Usher’s Raymond V. Raymond follow-up Versus drops August 24, and the album’s first single, “DJ Got Us Fallin In Love” is doing well, debuting on the Hot 100 at #19. Can Usher copycat his success with Versus‘ other tracks? See for yourself—hear “Get In My Car” below.

Usher feat. Bun B – “Get In My Car”

The track kicks off with a horn section reminiscent of Madonna’s “4 Minutes” that plays underneath Usher declaring that he’s  “squeezing your butt” on the dancefloor. (Sexy or rude? Guess it depends how much you like being groped by Usher.) The rest is pretty much just the standard let’s-get-sexy-and-dance-in-a-club we’ve heard time and time again.

It’s not an incredibly groundbreaking track, but it’s not terrible. Basically what we’re saying is, it’s better than this song about taking a ride in somebody’s car:
